It might be snowing outside, but we’re already gearing up for an exciting summer at Hope Grows! Our three one-week riding camps this year include riding opportunities for campers of all riding abilities and horse experience.
Saddle Up Beginner Camp July 3-7 is for those campers who have never handled a horse up to riders with walk/trot riding experience. Campers will learn grooming and tacking, horsemanship and horse care skills, and develop their riding skills in group riding lessons.
Saddle Up Intermediate/Advanced Camp July 17-21 is for campers with greater riding skill, from those learning to canter and on up. Group riding lessons will introduce disciplines including jumping, dressage, gymkhana, and pleasure riding. Campers will also expand their knowledge of horse care through hands-on experience in the barn.
Hope Grows 4-H Horse Camp July 31-August 4 is open to any member of Vermont 4-H with an interest in horses. Campers of all riding abilities are welcomed, and will learn to “Make the Best Better” as they expand their knowledge of horse care, sharpen their riding skills in group riding lessons, and experience all the fun of a 4-H camping atmosphere.
Campers should wear comfortable, sturdy boots with a heel, and wear long pants for riding lessons. Campers may bring a change of clothes for non-riding activities. All campers should bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
Camp is open to all riders ages 6-18. All camps run from 12 pm to 5 pm Monday-Friday. Each camp can accommodate 8 riders, and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with deposit. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to seeing you at camp!
